US Allopathic Medical School Graduates

- Application including:
- A minimum of three letters of recommendation
- Dean’s letter
- Medical school transcript verifying appropriate medical education to train in a large teaching hospital
- Personal statement (there are no specific requirements for the personal statement but in general it should explain why you are interested in a radiology residency and justify why you would be a good candidate)
- Photograph
- “Chairman’s Letter" not required
Osteopathic Medical School Graduates
Osteopathic Medical School Graduates
- Application including:

International Medical Graduates
International Medical Graduates
Medical school graduates from outside the United States and Canada must meet the following criteria to be considered for residency:
- Scores from USMLE Steps 1 and 2 must be available before you can be considered for an interview. All steps must be complete prior to matriculation. For H1-B, you must have completed step 3.
- Must have appropriate medical education to train in a large US teaching hospital.
- Ability to obtain a resident medical license in the State of Iowa: https://dial.iowa.gov/licenses/medical/physician#eligibility
- To waive first year of training: At least 1 year of clinical experience in an ACGME-accredited program. Alternatively, foreign medical training can be evaluated by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) for equivalency acceptance.
- Previous radiology or nuclear medicine residency experiences, observership or clinical experience is strongly preferred
- US citizenship, H1-B or J-1 Visa.
