Join us in congratulating the recipients of two distinguished scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year.
The first is the Scot Heery Scholarship. The four senior Radiation Sciences applicants whose work ethic and commitment to quality patient care most closely align with the values and character that Scot Heery portrayed in his distinguished career are (in alphabetical order):
- Jane Collum – Radiation Therapy
- Skylar Etten – Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Aubrey Keiser – Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Cardiac & Vascular
- Alexa Norris – Radiation Therapy
The funding for these $5000 awards comes from a generous gift presented to the University of Iowa Center for Advancement in Scot’s name by an anonymous donor. The Scholarship’s Selection Committee, comprised of 7 individuals, many of whom knew Scot well, reviewed applications from extremely qualified and deserving students, making the selection process a difficult one.

The second is the Margaret L. Hatch Scholarship. The Radiologic Technology applicant entering their second year and exhibiting the exceptional clinical and didactic performance that was so important to Ms. Hatch is:
- Tiffany Klatt – Radiologic Technology/MRI
The funding for this award comes from Margaret L. Hatch’s estate to the University of Iowa, specifically the Radiologic Technology program, to support her emphasis on the importance of making post-high school education available to everyone. Ms. Hatch worked as a medical technologist in the Cedar Rapids and Chicago areas.
